Spot Tracker

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Anyone using one yet? I got one for other purposes, but figured I may as well take it with me when I go riding.
I did the Oaks on Friday and Andersons / Oaks today. Both times it tracked me down the Oaks perfectly, but today it totally missed Andersons.

Has anyone else been using one of these and had large bits of missing data? Mine is the newer Spot2, however it does need to go back for replacement due to some battery life recall. I had great success using it in the deserts of California, just confusing why it didn't work today.

Manly Dam update for 05 Apr

Area:
Manly Dam
Status:
Amber/Some Issues

Went there for a couple of laps and pulled the pin after one as there is lots of water laying around and the track doesn't seem in good condition.

[Mod. only amber - as Manly Dam has an 'official' status we should only mark it closed when it is officially closed.]

Do you have more information?

If you've ridden here lately please add a more recent report. This will be useful even if the condition is the same as updates expire after 30 days.
Please do not post comments with such information - post a new update with the link above.

Two Creeks & Pipeline

This image (taken from Lands NSW Six Viewer[1] clearly shows the Two Creeks and Pipeline Track. They are currently marked as walking tracks which means no riding.

Note there is no track marked between the two and also note the 'Garigal National Park' labels.

Castle Rocks, Mudgee pt2

4ks of flat, sandy firetrail later(and a 10 min walk/climb) I ended up here. Top view and even came across a couple of emu's on the trail. All in all a good ride but I'm not sure it would be worth the road ks if I didn't need the training Smiling

Castle Rocks, Mudgee

I was staying at a mates farm west of Mudgee (northwest?) over Easter, and as this track was mentioned last week I thought
i would have a look. After 29ks on the road (11 dirt/18 tar) I arrived here.

Tentative planning: Training ride - GNR or Nthn Beaches

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

I want to do a bit of training for DirtWorks - build up a few km's and hours on the bike.

I'd like to do Wiseman's GNR but not overly keen on doing it solo for safety reasons.
I'm looking to do about 60 - 80 km, or 4 - 6 hours. Minimal stops along the way apart from nutrition break at half way point.
Meet at the ferry, up Devine's Hill, out past Clare's bridge for x km or hours, and then return via Shepherds gully.

Anyone interested?
