CCOMTB - Club Race - 2010 Round 1
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
North End of Red Hill Rd, Ourimbah State Forest. There's a large-ish parking area here, just off the main sealed road. There is also a smaller parking area a little further (400m or so from the road) where the trail splits - this second area is the usual meeting point. If you end up driving up a steep hill you've gone too far.
I want to ride Ourimbah more this year as its such a great track so what better way than to do a few of the CCOMTB club races the course is definetely worth the trip and a bit of racing is always fun.
XC Race day Fees are $15.00 plus an additional $15 for an MTBA day license if you don't have one. Registration is from 8am, racing starts at 9.30 sharp.
I am not a member of the club if you want more info about them have a look here CCOMTB

More Trail Bike Watch...
So! this morning I am driving up past Lizard Rock on my way to work and there is a nice truck parked there – a closed in one like food goes in and behind it being unloaded are four men on four yellow trail bikes....I called Frenchs Forest Police who were very nice even though he didn’t know that trail bikes weren’t allowed in Oxford Falls and he told me that its not their jurisdiction but rather the National Parks.

New Comp for Both Cycling and Running
Ok, can anyone recommend me a good comp for both mountain biking, road riding and running.
Basically I have look at the Polar's and can see that they have a few comps that do both Cycling and Running, however dont have any mapping or anything like that.
Would I better off maybe getting two seperate computers, one for road/mtb work and then one for running as well?
What do people recommend.
Basically want Heart Rate, Cadence, Distance inc trip, total etc, mapping would be ok, not that fussed and yeah not sure what else really.

Dirtworks 50k - supplies for the day ?
I'm going to be doing the Dirtworks 50k for the first time this year with it being the first event I would have done.
Can anyone recommend what supplies to take for the ride e.g. how much in terms of food, gels, liquid etc ?
I know there is a feed station halfway but not sure how much more I'll need to take !
