Marramarra National Park update for 17 May

Status:
Green/Open

Rode smugglers till the descent, some small trees down in places but you can ride over them. Amusingly, was able to ride faster than a car on the way in.

Red Hill update for 16 May

Area:
Red Hill
Status:
Amber/Some Issues

Suprisingly dry in places although others are very sloppy. Hadn't ridden Red Hill for over 10 years so was cool to get back up there. Not sure why I stayed away for so long.... will make it part of the regular rides from now on.

Manly Dam update for 14 May

Area:
Manly Dam
Status:
Green/Open

Did a night ride, mostly all good (99%) but there's still one tree down across the trail in the final descent from allambie heights after you rejoin trail from alongside cootamundra drive. (I think anyway), its alongside someone's house/lawn.

3 Ring Circus

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

So there 74 days until the 3 Ring Circus which will be Race #2 for CC.

Race/event 1 was a 4hr at Ourimbah last year just 3 weeks after getting a MTB and needless to say the single track scared the living Sh1t out of me.

After a year on the MTB I definitely feel more comfortable on it, but just what's in store at the 3 Ring? lap 1 says "fire road", and the other say a combination. Then there is "the wall" - any comments on how steep and how long?

I like the idea of it not being a multi lap event so the need to get passed and the related stress wont be there.
