Topping Out
The guys arrive atop the West hill on Morgan Road fire trail. Just behind, left of the camera is the junction with Slippery Dip.
Follow the line of poles down into the distance then back up the other climb, a nice out and back if you like hills!
Sandy Fun
Between the two rather serious climbs here there's a section of trail that's quiet sandy.
Perfect for playing around as T-Bone demonstrates (well - if you check the original full size, you'll see he's on one wheel here).
Steep and Loose
There's no shame in a small walk this end of the trail... very steep with a surface that's got next to no grip.
Manly Dam Stack
This is an image of my leg where the studs of my pedal grated down my leg. This happened on Sat when we were riding. I hit a energy Aus sand mound and got some air but lost my footing on the way down.
When to replace tyres?
I have a feeling I replace my tyres a little too quickly sometimes, anybody got any good rules of thumb as to when to replace?
I've tubeless UST Maxxis Ignitors and there's still maybe a couple of mm left on rear centre knobs and I'm umming and aahing about whether or not to replace.
I guess the easy answer is suck it and see if the grip's still OK but let me know if you know better!
