Gate open but old signage remains
So the gate is open, the new signage says it is open for walkers, mtb and horses, yet the old signage remains unchanged.

This wasn't like this last Sunday week.
Given the lack of NPWS logo or even colours, and the conflicting "No Horses" sign still on the other sign, I am dubious about just how "official" this is but either way having the gate open makes it more inviting for us and I would imagine is a nice Christmas present for our horsey friends.
Either way, a pleasant change in attitude and good to see.

Manly Dam plus extra social ride

King Street (near corner with Arana Street), Manly Vale. You know - outside Manly Hydraulics Lab.
Going to do part of the Dam, some Possums, some of the new tracks, type thing.
Weemala Firetrail
Short section of firetrail handy to link up other stuff.
Weemala Sniggle
A short section of single track that's handy to use to join Perimeter/Cullamine/etc to Sandy further South.
BMX Link
There's a short section of single track on the South Side of Mona Vale Road here. It runs from the underpass to the BMX track and is a nice alternative to riding on the road when linking with Cascades or other trails.
There's actually a nice rocky section part way along here which, when riding from the BMX track is really rather tricky to get up.
