Has anyone ridden Gahnia without clipping out - technical skills, not speed
Just want to know how many of you have ridden Gahnia without clipping out, touching the ground, stopping & leaning on a tree..... you get the picture.
I've ridden twice & had 3 or 4 per ride. Combination of walking down a steep rock + loss of balance & clipping out.
I'd be surprised if more than 50% of riders could get through with a 'clean lap', regardless of time.
Not wanting to downgrade anyones skills....just curious.
Cheers

Manly Dam update for 01 Jan
Track is dry except for the creek crossings, and fast.
A tree fell down 'this evening some time on my second lap across the track just after the entrance to the Golf Club. No big deal - just don't zone out while you're reaching down for your drink bottle like I did.

Withdrawn: Cannondale Jekyll
Cannondale Jekyll, size Large.
This was my first dual suspension bike and led to me falling in love with the sport. Over the last few years it has been extensively upgraded as technology has improved, and remains a great riding bike.
I've just recently gone down the carbon fibre 29er route so need the room in my garage.

Happy with that
Graded fire trail helps. Blew a bit on the 2nd lap. Quite hot in the middle of the day but no traffic at all.
Lap 1: 34:16
Lap 2: 35:36
Can almost justify buying myself a FS bike now.

Getting the best from an indoor trainer?
I've just started to work out on a trainer in the garage. Broke my wrist end of November and could be off the bike until March / April. I;ve set my self a goal though of coming out of the injury fitter than when I went in... as the alternative is sitting on the couch drinking beer and that's not going to be helpful.
I've also just fitted a cadence and speed sensor and am planning to use the Strava workout guides and Sufferfest videos as a start.

For Sale: Giant Trance, Brand new 2013 Medium Frame
Giant Trance, Brand new 2013 Medium Frame.
This Giant Trance X1 bike has a brand new 2013 model frame, Crank and Bottom Bracket. (replaced under warranty by Giant in October this year, my old frame developed a crack). These have never been ridden.
The rest of the XT and RaceFace Deus spec components are from the previous frame which was a 2009 Trance X1.
I have recently upgraded to a newer model.
This bike can do it all. On the previous frame I have ridden and raced 8hr, 24hr, 50km and 100km and gravity enduro races.
