top day on the bike, went out in the 3rd wave and took it easy at the start then got into a good rhythm, rode all the climbs and didn't stop. pleased with my result.

Lane Cove National Park update for 24 Sep

Status:
Green/Open

Rode through from Gloucester Ave to Browns Waterhole this afternoon. Dry as.
Unusual hazard on the cycle path at Browns with a whole bunch of skateboarders doing runs from upside the M2 down to the river. Padding on the corners, photographers, etc. Would have been an interesting challenge for the fluoro-vested traffic controller looking after the crane zone at the M2 underpass.....

Most Fun at a Marathon

Well what can I say - great event, well organised and great course !

For those that love singletrack then this is the race for you. It was hard to imagine a course that can push you to your limits and put a smile on your face at the same time.

I didn't have this race on my calendar at first, but when a spare ticket came up, and we had a crew from SXC Racing Team already going I thought what the hell, how can I miss this. I am glad I didn't miss this one.

Wanted: Kona Paddy Wagon/Redline Monocog 29er or similar

Price:
500.00

Hi guys,

Just thought I'd throw this out there before venturing into the LBS.

Anyone have a Kona Paddy Wagon or Redline Monocog 29er (or similar) which they way want to sell? It will be used for commuting to/from work, rather than using the Yeti/stable of race bikes.

I'm 173cm so medium or 53/54cm works best.

Had to put a number in the price field, but negotiable depending on condition, upgrades etc.

Thanks

Clover, Sydney Cycling, Daily Telegraph and Media Watch.

Just caught the end of the article on Media Watch last night.

Check it out. http://www.abc.net.au/mediawatch/transcripts/s38...

I don't normally read the DT but the coffee shop I buy coffees at has it so I do flick through and did notice the articles there and was pretty amazed by what they were saying.

Anyway, I realise it's going over the same old same old, but thought it worth a post to see what folk thought.

Early Christmas (50km)

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

I'd never been to Kowan before this race, so I spent the ride feeling like a kid on Christmas Day - every turn was like opening a new present, but instead of toys I got an endless supply of singletrack. I spent the first 30kms grinning my head off, riding and occasionally chatting with a great bunch of guys. It really didn't feel like a race, just like a fun day out with a bunch of mates. My training for this event was rudely interrupted by a couple of weeks off the bike with flu, so I didn't have great expectations of a particularly fast time. But in a way that was nice...
