Yellomundee Regional Park update for 10 Sep
Bush fire close by at Winmalee now likes like it has burnt down the scarp into the Park south of the track. Best stay away until situation is clarified.

Started slow but picked up the pace after a couple of kms
After work playtime. Wasn't going hot lap pace as the trail was super slippery - but super fun. Sliding thru most corners. Strava didn't reset after a play in the car park, but the GPS recorded the time.

Very dry and dusty. Brake bumps going into corners. Very slippery pretty much everywhere - just from the dust...

Pain Free Stromlo
My event started back in July when I was talking on the phone with my mate Gordo about my training which has improved this year and next thing I'm in his lounge room for half a day taking in an enormous amount of notes as he offers to coach me and starts by sharing his experiences and tips with me and builds my training plan. As an aside, I always assumed he wins the tough races because he's prepared to live inside the hurt box more than anyone else but now realise he's a perfectionist and lives by the mantra "Practice doesn't make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect".
Road riding...why bother.

Still green. Very little water on any track. Watch the sand traps! Good for a ride.

Wanted: Bike saddle
The saddle on my road bike seems to have partially snapped throughout the middle (am I gaining too much weight?), just thought someone here may have an seat lying around (not too fussed about its type except that it isn't rock solid) that they'd be willing to give/sell me at a lowish price, that'd be great!
