Totally Brown and at the Point of Burning!
Finally got some time to finish the blog for what turned out to be a very *memorable* event in an unexpected way...
In St John's Gospel, Chapter 14, Verse 6, Jesus says, “I am the way.” Well, if only Jesus had come along to Brownie Points Burner, everyone wouldn’t have gotten so darn lost!* It said on the race website, “This race is not to be missed.” But from what I saw, plenty of the signs that were meant to show the route on the course certainly were (missed)!
Ourimbah State Forest update for 07 Sep
This refers to the DH only.
It is VERY dry and dusty and some of the corners are hiding some holes whilst becoming slippery. Some of the berms at the half way point are getting badly beaten up. One decent downpour followed by wet riding will really knacker them.

Best Bike Bag for 29'ers??? - Help Please - What to Buy?
I want to buy a bag, but know that many bags dont fit the 29er wheels too well. Any suggestions?
Swooping Magpies... are cable ties the answer?
Like me, magpies tend to be born in September but luckily my parents didn't dive bomb everyone who came near me when I was a baby. Unfortunately one of the little critters seems yo have made a nest on one of the main roads near me and on two occasions been observed to physically attack people's helmets. I've seen people put long cable ties over their helmets in an effort to deter the nasty things away. Can anyone vouch as to whether it actually works or any other ideas on avoiding nasty surprises with black and white feathers?
