Rydal update for 07 Jan
For the first time ever Macquarrie region of State Forest is invoking it's extreme fire danger clause and has prohibited entry to all forests in our area.
With some wild winds and hot temps over the next couple of days all riders are asked to stay away from Rydal and other trails in the forests in our area until further notice.
Your understanding and compliance in this matter is greatly appreciated

Yearly totals
So it's that time of year again where we review the years riding and set some new goals for next.
I'll start the ball rolling,
8675km total since March.
350+ hours riding
137000+ mtrs of climbing
1500km of MTb racing. (details from Strava)
Fav track would have to be Welby. Technical enough to keep you on your toes without trying to kill you.
Best event was a tie between choccy foot rounds at Awaba and Rydal
Goals for 2013. Ride my MTb more
Complete a solo 24 hour race.

Rydal update for 19 Dec
Trail seemed to be in good condition and well sign posted. A little washy on some coreners but inherent with the dry weather, some leaf litter on the older sections of trail leading into the pine forrest so be weary of snakes!

CTMBC Kit
Hi all
A few people have been asking about doing another order for club kit. I have some Jerseys and shorts left over from the first order at the introductory pricing that haven't been collected/paid for so I'd like to get rid of them first.
What we have left is.

Rydal ramblings
It's a funny thing this racing caper. There's a whole bunch of stuff you have to get right for it to come together and the mind ply funny trick on you.
I went into last years 8hr at Rydal feeling reasonably fit. Lots of casual riding under my belt backed by a good lead in of regular Tuesday night races had me in good stead. Got a good start and went steadily down hill, cramping bad by the end of the day.
CTMBC tent city for Rydal 8hr
OK a few of us will be setting up pop shade under the big tree same place as last year.
Garry has a 6 x3, I have a 6x3, Barnsie has a 3x3 so there is a bit of room for others and i would be great to get a CTMBC crew together
We are going to mark out the space Friday Arv and then set the tents us Saturday.
If anyone want to add a tent please let me know and we'll make sure we reserve some space. Otherwise just bring chairs and stuff and crowd on in.
track extension
Went out to Rydal today for the first time in about 1 month due to injuries . Came across track extension and tried to ride , dont know if I was riding the hard way or the easy way if there was one . Due to complete lack of fitness and riding time did it really hard and had to walk a lot . Was wondering how much this adds to the distance and can it be joined into one big loop , did enjoy it , had a nice walk .

stolen yeti asr - mudgee
it's happened again. a bike has been ripped off. this time mine. anyone see a 08 yeti asr (Turq/white) with a spanking new sid rtc3 (white) some red metal 3 hoops - etc let me know. Also been told by someone at nobmob that they had a roadie pinched from Lawson St Mudgee which is just around the corner from me. I recon anyone in Mudgee should keep a pretty keen on their gear at the moment.
