Hip And Miss

Hip and Miss is one of the little DH runs CTMBC uses for smaller club races, especially Twilight races.

A fast, twisty start. Nothing out of the ordinary. then you cross the road...

The long bermed Daytona corner points you straight at Super Dry. A largish double with a five meter gap. Some nice flowing and a small drop before the bottom is grin inducing.

The God Father

To see this feature in context with others in the same area, view Lidsdale State Forest map.

One of the Little DH runs CTMBC use for their club races, especially Twilight races.

The god father has a fast open start and then over a small triple.
A long right and quick left throws you at the "No VB" double then your into the hip, small single that can transfer to the road, another 2 small doubles and some twisty corners... Feet up, no brakes, grin like an idiot...

FBT

The BT stands for Bumpy Track...

One of the little DH runs we use for club racing, especially Twilight races.

Some fast corners and small table tops makes for a great, confidence building section to start this leads in to some tighter corners and then into the bumpy section... Mogul like Millats buck you all over the place. The pinners find doubles, triples and tranfers through here. I just hang on and hope for the best. Out of the moguls and over a small double and down a steep (for lidsdale) little finish

Gun Club DH

To see this feature in context with others in the same area, view Hassans Walls map.

The gun Club trail has been used by the CTMBC to host Club, state, national and international Down Hill events.

An old fashion DH trail it lacks the scarier drops and gaps that seem to fill modern DH trails yet still offers plenty of challenges for the guys trying to go fast.

It should be noted that the trail passes along side the Thales firing range and should not be ridden while shooting is taking place.

Ride Database Entry:
Hassans Walls

A Nice loop up Hassans Walls, Across the main road, out toward Bracies Lookout and then dropping down the fast Town Houses single trail

Head on up Hassans Wall rd at the top take the left fork. A couple of fast downs and slower ups takes you across the top of the reserve on the main fire road.

You can either take the left turn toward Braceys Lookout or continue down for 300 meter and take the left into an obscure/overgrown road then reverse back up the Ewok trail to link up with the Braceys rd halfway along.

Can be done as a looped ride or shuttles. With about 13 single tracks winding their way off the escaprment the area is reasonably contained. Trails generally follow the ridge lines starting flattish with short sections of steeper more technical sections towards the bottom.
