Hey all,

Hellen Drew called in to say that orchids are out along the old DH trail, lithgow, so if anyone is riding it please be aware that there may be old folk looking at flowers and shaking their walking sticks at you if you ride past them too fast

Way back int he days of early automobiles people found that Mt Victoria pass was to steep for these new fangled horseless carts. As the team of oxen employed to drag cars up was expensive and slow a new road was cut tot he side on a much gentler gradiant. Berghoffers pass

I don't think it was use for long but it has lasted and now makes for an easier ride up through the escarpment and a fun descent. It's a great way to start and finish a loop of the Mt York Convict trails.

The Town Houses.

A couple of very steep descents offer a nice challenge and in between there some very fast, all be it narrow, sections of single trail.

Ch6.

A great introduction to Hassas Walls single trail (though a little over grown at the time of writing)

A tight and twisty start gets faster and steeper as you near the end of the ridge.

You pop out onto the fire rd a couple of time. At the end of the ridge head back in to the left before the tower and brace yourself for the infamous Ch6 rock garden.

High right to start and thread you way back to towards the center. If you make it though take the high right turn.

A long fast straight filled with Hwalls baby heads follows then it down left and into the maze.
