Transporting 6 mountain bikes
I'm organizing a trip with 5 others, from Sydney to Canberra for a few days of mountain biking.
The rough plan is to hire an 8 seater and travel together, but the challenge is how do we carry the six bikes. On a previous trip in NZ, we were able to hire a trailer that had bike racks, but I haven't been able to find something similar in Sydney. I can beg/borrow/steal 6 Thule bike racks, but would still need to find a trailer with Thule racks to fit them to.

Snakes still about.
Surprised by a 1.2m black snake enjoying the sun today next to the bike path in Harrington Park - never seen one active in June but I suspect it was soaking up the sun like me.
I have not been thinking about snakes for a few months but it does remind you they are always active just less so in the colder months.
Watched it for about 15 minutes as it moved about - they are interesting to watch but they still scare the %$#^*! out of me when I first see them.

Mount Annan Botanic Garden update for 20 Jun
Friday night. Probably be closed for a while. Light but soaking rain this week finished with 33mm to 9am Friday - with cool weather for the next week we will be lucky if opens for Sat 27th.
Best to keep an eye on the Australian Botanic Garden FB page. The top posting is always current and correct despite the fact it shows May 9. The staff do look at the track regularly and try to open it as soon as possible.

Suitable spot for FTP test in Sydney
G'Day Folks,
Not totally MTB, but related in a way. Seeking ideas for a suitable stretch of road in Sydney for FTP testing.
I have tried Centennial Park and Kurnell in the past however Ive been held up in the past at both and both also have slight downhill sections that made it really hard to keep the power high for a continued effort.
Can anyone think of stretch of road lasting over 20mins, either dead flat or slight steady uphill, no lights, no stops and no downhill bits?.
PS - Im inner west but happy travel 50-100km to find a good spot.
Many thanks for any ideas.
Cheers,
