Wheelset advice

Hey guys,

I have a 2008 Reign X0 with Totems on the front and a Fox RC3 on the rear. It has Minions wrapped around an unknown rim but the rim has "dirtbag DH" stickers on it. It's a downhill-ish bike and I like to ride DH, but there's not a lot of that sort of action around Newcastle so I'm thinking about trading in the VERY heavy wheels/tyres for something a bit lighter to make riding in places like Glenrock a bit easier.

Ourimbah / Awaba rides in the next couple of weeks - Xpost from Newcastle/Hunter

Hey guys, this is a crosspost from Newcastle/Hunter but I like to ride at Ourimbah so thought I'd add it here as well..

I've been overseas for a while but I'm coming back to Newcastle from Tuesday and will be keen to get back into riding... hit me up, I live out near Fletcher but can transport the bike so happy to drive. If anyone is shuttling Ourimbah that would be sick, I'm a bit slow on some of the rocky sections but will try not to hold you up too much Smiling

Rode this morning for first time with a small group. Dry and good to ride. Good fun track with a bit of everything you want from a single track.

Mount Annan Botanic Garden update for 15 Mar

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.
Status:
Green/Open

Rode Sunday afternoon. Good condition. Mostly grippy and a lot less dust than past few months. Vegetation is encroaching on the track in the grassy areas - in a few areas the tall grass is growing from either side of the track and touching in the middle - not a real issue but it is hard to see the line at times (and I think I will be picking grass seeds out of my teeth for a week.)
