All good - nothing to stop a good, fast lap (except my tired legs).
Only one short puddle and a few soft spots here and there. Welcome evidence of some recent track work in some areas which fix some wear and tear issues.
Good to see the grass around the track edges has been cut back and some trees trimmed which really helps improve the sight lines.

Fairly Dry all round. A couple of trees down and bit or erosion caught me by suprise. Other than that all good.

The track is open, There is a lot of surface water. Basically riding in a small creek the whole way. A couple of trees down also.

Trails in Jesmond are a mess with a lot of trees down or hung up, increased erosion, etc. which is to be expected. As noted, ridge fire trail has several trees down and is impassable. Cambridge loop/Fairyland has two trees across it which need a chainsaw but bridge is still intact. Huntington Downhill has a tree across bottom part of first steep section (before rocky slope) which would need a chainsaw but is otherwise clear. Note bottom end close to Jesmond Park has a lot of standing water. Hand cleared what I could as I moved around. Note geotech works for bypass may see a lot these issues resolved but they are also chopping up the fire trails with the drilling equipment.
