Singleton MTB track update for 19 Sep

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

Amber/Some Issues

Trees have been felled at various points across track. Best bet to take it easy on your first lap so you know where they are. Should be cleaned up this week hopefully.

Chain sound

For starters I am using rock and roll gold lube. After lubing I usually get about 10k through a ride with no noise then after that I begin to get that sort of unoiled sound. Following instructions on label and tried adding more and less but still get the same problem. Suggestions.

Howdy I rode the singleiton track for the first time on Saturday. It was a lot of fun but I picked the wrong time of the day to do it (afternoon when it was hot). Anyway thanks to the rider who pointed out there were trees down across the track as I turned up. Not sure if it should be updated in the trail status but there were quite a few trees down. One set was 2.8km in to the ride according to my garmin. The other set were within a kilometer of the turn off where is says 4km to home one way 3km to home the other way along the 4km route.

Not sure if this area has been talked about on here before as i have only been a member for a month or so, but the area between glendale, edgeworth and wallsend has a boatload of potential for some really good trails. there is already a few good singletrails in there, heaps of firetrail to link it all up, and plenty of room for new builds, not sure who owns the land but seeing as though there is a cycleway through there now, i thought it would be ideal.

The council has cut back the overgrowth on the firetrails. A good time to go riding in Jesmond. All fast and dry. Good conditions on Train, Ninja Monkey and the Walking Track
