Summit Loop
Loop around the summit joining the 2 main fire trails up from Jesmond Park and the John Hunter Hospital exits. Single tracks also split the summit and drop off down the hill from the side.
Fire Trail Entry from Jesmond Park cycleway
Fairly easy fire trail that climbs steadily up to the back of the John Hunter Hospital. Wide but with washouts in places.
Big Dipper below car parks
Linking fire trail between Sygna access and back of John Hunter car park. There is quite a steep section and a long run out.
Jesmond bushland - map and trails and photos
Hey guys, new here and new to mountain biking but just a heads up I ride through the Jesmond bushland a couple of times a week and noticed there were no maps or photos of the area so am putting together some photos and trail details for all. Work in progress, more photos and tracks to go yet but I have been learning it myself over the last few weeks as I find new ways through it on a commute from Lambton pool back to my place.
Sygna Close Easy Access trail
Very easy access trail that is actually sealed in a loose bitumen. Trail ends with an option of climbing out to McCaffry Drive or up to John Hunter Hospital carparks.
Sygna Close Access trail
Access trail straight up the ridge line from Sygna Close. Another option to riders right is almost a sealed cycleway and requires a short climb up to the left further on.
End of McCaffry Drive access
3 way intersection, this path goes to Mccaffry drive, behind to Sygna Close or up the hill to the base of the John Hunter carpark.

Lowest point of McCaffry drive access, creek crossing only water after significant rain.
