Awaba State Forest update for 10 Jan
HMBA have been advised by Forests NSW this evening that all State Forests, including Awaba MTB Park, are to be closed from Friday the 11th through to and including Sunday the 13th January due to the extreme fire danger NSW is currently under.
Please do not ride or enter Awaba MTB Park until Monday 14th January at the earliest. We advise checking the HMBA website www.hmba.asn.au for all updates on this matter.

Glenrock is open again. I've not been in but I imagine it will be pretty dry/dusty.

Awaba State Forest update for 10 Jan
Lots of debris on trails. I cut the sidewall of my rear tyre on something. Other than debris, all good. On the up side, there was a gentleman in a newish white dual cab Hilux clearing trails and doing maintenance work. I have seen him there before working on the trails and I would like to thank him for his efforts.

Awaba will be closed on Tuesday 8th January due to extreme fire danger. Please observe all closures.

UPDATE: 7 JANUARY, 2013
All State forests in NSW are closed from 12.01am to 11.59pm on Tuesday 8 January 2013 due to severe fire weather. No hunting, camping, motorbike riding or any other recreational use is permitted in the forest during the closure. The decision to close State forests was made by the State Emergency Management Committee. Anyone found within the forests during the closure could face a fine of up to $2200.
