Trails are sweet but very dry.

Now whoever has the club leafblower could you please stop blowing your driveway and blow the leaf litter off the trails Eye-wink

Some rain before next Saturday's club race would actually be good.

Oh beware the goannas are out, saw one swallow a wallaby whole and then a brown snake ate the goanna.

Wednesday night rides from the Tip

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

Is anyone keen to resurrect the Wednesday night Kiwarrak rides from the Tip?

If so what is the preference for start time? I'm happy to ride at 6pm rather than 5pm if it means more people can get there, no lights the first hour or so and then just lights for a bit from 7pm.

Endurance Horse Ride in Kiwarrak SF on Sunday, October 30, 6am to 9am

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

We have been contacted by some endurance horse riders that on Sunday, October 30 between 6am and 9am a group of about 40 riders will be riding on the firetrails in Kiwarrak State Forest.

So if you are heading out there be aware or better yet ride later in the day. At least they had the decency to advise of the ride well in advance and hopefully we can develop a spirit of co-operation between the two user groups.

Anyone needing further information can contact Terry McMurrich on 6550 6337.

Kiwarrak State Forest update for 27 Sep

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.
Status:
Amber/Some Issues

Due to the wet weather we've had the tracks are extreemly wet and muddy some tracks are like little rivers. The creeks are overflowing on to the tracks. It will take a few days of warm dry weather for this to dry out. I was going to suggest RED(closed) but there are still a few tracks that are quite rideable in the higher regions. A few trees have fallen over some tracks and divine bridge is down with over 2ft of water in it so take care.
