Pronounced 'kye-warrick'. Great single track close to Taree.
New car park area (as of 2014) at trail head opposite the tip entrance on The Bucketts Way (between Tinonee and Purfleet) 10 mins out of Taree.
Worth a stop if you're heading up the coast.... actually, it's worth staying the whole weekend so you can really get stuck into it!
You'll find a maze of excellent single track, about 40k in total. Can be linked up with many more kms of firetrail too.
There are no toilet facilities or water at the trail head so make sure you have sufficient water and a method to carry it - in summer it does get very hot and humid in the forest so make sure you look after yourself.
Bourke's Bicycles in the main street of Taree is the place for all your bike needs, spare parts, maps etc.
There is a new parking area (as of 2014) available at the trail head opposite the tip on The Bucketts Way. |
The Caltex service centre at the Purfleet exit to Taree are the closest facilities. These are only 4km's from the trail head. |
