Love it!

Brisbane Water Rocks

Great stuff!

A strange mish-mash of single track and fire trail leads to amazing views South over the water and to West Head.

GNR Switchback Drop

Whisperer drops down a 'short cut' on the Great Northern Road. There's a switchback on this section out of shot (right) but why take that when you can drop down here?

Pick a Line

Pick a line... any line... it's all great fun.

Technical GNR

There's a few rocky sections like this here - brilliant stuff.

If you can just see there, Whisperer has made the lot as the other guys applaud his efforts.

Great Northern Road

Nice stuff North of Ten Mile Hollow. Notice the walkers back there on the trail. I'd made it to the point of photo but overbalanced so stepped off. There was a nice drop down to the right (left looking back here) so wise choice I thought.

Rough firetrail along old convict road between Sydney and Newcastle. You'd be mad to drive there now, but parts (not all) are great for cycling.

Kincumber Reserve

Located just south of Erina Fair (to the East of Gosford), there is a bit of a mix for everyone here.
Firetrails for the beginner, some intermediate single track and a small but sweet downhill trail.

You have the option of riding up from the north side (near Erina Fair) or driving in from the South (via Kincumber) if you are less inclined to do the climb. Not particularly well marked, but difficult to get lost.

Mooney Mooney Creek - Aug 2017 don't bother. Just too rutted out, rocky without any flow. Walk only

Single Trail

Imagine 15Km of this stuff? Oh yeah!

Rob's picture

Tidal Crossing

Although you can ride this section right now, it is tidal so sometimes you'll have to take the bridge or get very wet.

Rocky Trail

Getting closer to the top of this climb the trail can be a bit rocky.

Rougher than in the past but with some great single track. Grinding & technical climbs that make you grin from ear to ear on the descent.
AUG 2017 - Just too rutted out now and covered with fallen logs/trees

Almost as if Greg knew I'd cropped the head off everyone else at this jump!

Huge Humps

Reverse angle - Riding some lush single track you'll come from this direction and head down a dip and up over the top of this hump. Three ways down this side which is pretty much vertical and around 3m high. Ye-haaaaa - love it!

Championship downhill course, many Km of single trail and even further firetrail - Ourimbah has it all.

Trailshare Olney Forest

This is a private riding facility in the Watagan Mountains north of Peats Ridge. A range of riding is on offer - from wide dirt roads and jeep tracks to steep downhills and technical singletrack. Riders need to go to the website - trailshare.re-zycle.com to buy a ride ticket or membership.

72Km Water Station

Top-ish of the steep-er climb there was a water station. 72Km point in the 2007 Dirtworks. Start of the Womerah Range Trail and 28Km of pain on race day.

On any other though - probably a damn fine ride!

Down they go!

Bring on the Fun

Almost done with the climbs (heading to St Albans) - junction of Jacks Track & Womerah Range.

Nice firetrail with views from the Ridge. Killer climb up but fantastic descent down Jack's Track (well - when it's dry).
