Awesome riding on the Old Great North Road and Western Commission Track today. The track was in good condition. Dry, but not too dusty, either.

Bit dry with some sand sections but nice!

Still plenty of sandy spots and tough rocky sections, but after a few hundred riders have been through today, there is no better time to tackle this iconic section of Sydney sandstone off road...

A few sandy patches and a couple of slow drying puddles. Plenty of low hanging shrubbery and the rocky step ups are not getting any easier, but otherwise business as usual.

There's only one puddle on the tech section you need to ride through which isn't deep on the edge. There are big trees down just after Claires Bridge

Sandy in spots but clear and easily rideable from Wisemans up to the dirt road.

Rode some of this today as a recce for the Convict.

Shepard's Gully is a freeway all the way to the top. Could pretty much ride 4 abreast all the way. Much easier to appreciate the rock...

Damp sand and puddles in places but in good condition.

From Blue Door Point Rd to Ten Mile Hollow, sticks, sticks and more sticks with the odd tree across the track thrown in for fun.

Rode there today. All good along the top track - drains pretty well at the top, though Shepherd's Gully is taking some major redevelopment works at the bottom of the hill - watch out very deep...

Trail was in much better condition than expected. Almost as good as it gets. We were riding laps of the technical section to the T junction with the Western Commission trail. Very few puddles,...

First time I've done this trail and it seemed near perfect to me, a little sandy in places but not enough to ruin the ride.

The water butt outside the budhist place is a welcome rest stop...

Other than some of the bigger puddles its all dry. There are a couple of trees down across the fire roads. I expect they will be cleared in the next 4 weeks.

Had a blast down to where they have the halfway stop in the Dirtworks. The trail was heavy with lots of puddles but not too bad. Worth a ride but you'll come back pretty muddy. Washed the bike,...

Yup all good. LOTS of dried, hard horse hoof so not as flowy as it could be. But not really a big deal.

All good here. A little more water then normal from the 85mm last weekend but still good.

Doesn't get much dryer than this - perfect conditions.

Rode there this morning.
glad i did as it's probably in the best condition of any of the Sydney rides. Lots of the usual standing puddles but all in all the track was fairly dry.
Well...

Wet. The usual puddles are full but much of the single track is waterlogged. It drains quickly so best wait a day or so of good weather.

Couple of puddles, but the rest of the main track is otherwise fine.
I attempted "Spiders" descent, which was very overgrown, and I do not recommend it as the best way to descend from the...

Has been a while since I last rode up here. The winter rains haven't been too kind and have left a lot of loose rocks around it's a lot more scrabbly in places. So if you haven't ridden up here...

In good condition with the usual waterholes. They have however grated the first section from the top of Devines to the intersection at about 4.65km on the below profile. This is where it starts...

In good condition. The same large puddles are there from when I rode it 2 years ago but the are easy to navigate. Shepards Gully is a bit overgrown but good fun...

In lovely condition. Be warned - if you can, take something to cover your mouth. The flies are in swarming in plague proportions up there. I was spitting out flies every 30secs or so. That wasn't...
