Xmas BBQ
BBQ Area 1C, Manly Dam. Drive to King Street, Manly Vale then carry on into the picnic area. Will confirm just how far in 1C is later.
Just to set the date.
Have booked BBQ area 1C on Dec 15th. The area is reserved all day so the tentative time of 1PM is changeable. If we go for a midday ride (mad dogs and...?) and it's stinking a quick dip in the Dam might be very nice before some fud.
Sadly the covered areas like we had before were all gone but given our immense stash of poles and tarps and portable gazebos I'm sure the NoBMoB gang can do something about shade.
Things seemed to work out quiet well last time, so same deal again? Basically, BYO everything?
MWMTB STXC & Cyclo-cross
St Ives Showground
Last time I convinced Rob to take his Celeste Indulgence off-road it ended in tears, lets see if he's prepared to give it a go in it's more natural environment (sans 1000's of screaming drunk Belgians).
CX racing will start at 6:30 & is preceded by Short Track XC - the event described by Paul Rowney as the Hurricane of Pain! Come to race or just to watch the Spectacle.

Xmas BBQ?
Erm... quick... don't look now but seems like there's this Christmas time coming.
Seems the thing to do about now is arrange a BBQ!
Where? Manly Dam of course.
When? Ah... erm... how about Dec 8, 9, 15 or 16 (8th is already out)? Early arvo? Preceded by a lap of the Dam of course.
Any takers? Any preference on the dates? Perhaps I should contact Nicole and see if there's space!
All sorted, on Dec 15:
The BBQ!
Thanks to Nate for providing the great portable BBQ. Worked a treat.
Big BBQ Dh + Xc Day @ Ourimbah *note changed to the 20th
Enter via Red Hill Rd, Ourimbah State Forest. On your right will be 'TreeTops' for the kids and it's large-ish carpark. Carry on past there and the first small clearing which is were parking used to be, and is where the 'Browns' single track turns (you might see riders on your left here). Please do not park in this car park.
Parking and official trail head is now designated a further 350m or so up the road where there is a larger area. There's a CCOMTB notice board here by the trail entrance (on the left as you drive up the hill). Park up nose to curb or as directed.
Big days of shuttles, pedalling and meat taking up a couple of bbq's and having a nice long day out at ourimbah- should be excellent times, all welcome just a fun day out! I will be supplying meat through work, but will need exact numbers confirmed at least 3 days prior so we can work out how much we will need- any suggestions welcome, vego's let me know too! ill check back later to confirm food and costs,
Cheers, Alex
