I have decided to sell this as it is just taking up space. I don’t really know what it’s worth but I was thinking around $200. That might be a bargain or maybe I’m dreaming... You can tell me Smiling

Size small. See below for geometry
Deore / LX Components
Race Face Cranks
Mechanical disc brakes
Rear shock needs work as lower pressure chamber doesn’t hold pressure but is still effective.
Shimano DX platforms/SPD pedals
Also have the original handle bars

PM me if you are interested.

Softtail HELP!! Specialized Vs Scott Vs Giant?!?

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Hey guys,

I'm looking at a cross country, dual suspension for under $2500. Almost half my riding will be ON-ROAD.

I will be using it for moderate/difficult fire trails and UP/DOWN bush tracks (no huge drops, no extreme downhill). My main concerns are LIGHTWEIGHT (14kg max) and at least front SUSPENSION LOCK.

Currently considering (all around $2000):
1/ Scott Aspect FX 15 (front & back lock suspension, 13.9kg)
2/ Specialised FSR-XC Comp (highly reccomended by a friend).
3/ Giant Anthem 2 <--- The talk of the town (fantastic front fork, excellent value, propedal)

Good ride at the Dam

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Couldn't make the Anderson's and Oaks ride so did the Dam instead in the afternoon. Awesome fun. Finally conquered all the steps after the golf course including the one after the boardwalk going uphill towards Wakehurst Parkway.

Absolutely loving the new bike. It just soaks up everything...but then again anything would be better than the 100mm of travel I had with those Rock Shock Darts!

Did 3 laps and felt good.

Break in the new bike

Believe it or not the bike shop tells me that my bike is finally in after 5 months of waiting! Shocked I'll pick it up tonight hopefully.

Tien tells me he will be riding Saturday afternoon...possibly a long one. I'm not sure if I can hang around for hours but I'll definitely try and take the bike out for a spin. Track will most likely something around Terrey Hills. Nothing too technical until the brakes bed in and I get a feel for it.

Well if you interested give me a call or reply here.

hi, yep I've done the Manly Dam last week end Terrey Hills yesterday.
It's a great bike, especially the dual suspension sucking up everything, nice and light too, I jumped off much higher than I expected over a waterbar which took me by surprise on the Long Track and nearly fell off lol
Brakes are super powerful and gear changing nice and smooth.

STOLEN - Giant NRS 2.0 and GT ZUM 1.0

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

As of yesterday I have had both my bicycles stolen - One Giant NRS2.0 and one GT ZUM 1.0

I have no one to blame but myself (and the bastard/s that did it) - but nonetheless, on the off chance that someone who reads this comes accross either of these machines on eBay or in clasifieds or elsewhere, I thought it would be worth posting.

Here's a quick description of each in case you see something similar and think it might be mine.

Giant NRS 2.0
Frame is small and metalic red.
Shock is RockShox SID Rear
Forks are RockShox Psylo U-Turn (80-125mm)
Mavic UST tubeless rims
