Kinross State Forest update for 28 Jun

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

We had a great ride this morning. Most tracks are riding very nicely with only a few damp spots after recent rain.

'Berm me up Scotty' is holding some water on many of the berms so needs some work to improve drainage. Might be better to avoid it until the water is gone. All the other tracks are pretty good though.

Hiya,

Dubbo MTB are hosting a MTB Time Trial on the yellow loop at Geurie, every rider has 3 non-consecutive laps to post their best time. Prizes and lucky door prizes so all welcome!
Riders will leave the start gate 30-60 seconds apart starting with the fastest seeded riders on the first llap, actual times on lap 1 will dictate start times for laps 2 & 3

Rego from 9, racing starting at 1030, there will be a BBQ operating, my backyard BMX/pump track will be open and other areas of the XC loops at geurie will be open for you to keep warm on.

Great trails

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

You guys have some great tracks around here. You've obviously got some very dedicated trail fairies around your way!

I visit the Central West (Mudgee, Dubbo, Orange, Bathurst and Lithgow) from Sydney about once a month with work and bring my bike when I can. I've riden Geurie, Kinross and Rydal and am going to try Mugga Hill out in a few weeks time. What's it like? Is it similar to the other 3 tracks? I'm just wondering which bike to bring.

Thanks,
Jason

The view from the Walls Lookout at Mt Canobolas (with Joe and Grant) looking towards Orange. You can see The Pinnacle too. It was cold.

This is a large area of forest with a lot of fire and management trails that are great to explore. It also has some big hills.
