Soapbox
Not an accusation but just an observation as someone who likes horses, aren’t the fire trails in Terry hills and especially Cascades nice and firm without the horse prints.
I am defiantly NOT saying that there should not be any horses because the trails are there for everyone to enjoy, but just an observation to those rangers and National parks to say that MTB's are not the worst thing ever especially in the Kosciusko National Park.
I will get of my soapbox now…..
leave only your tracks behind
Hi all just got back from a wicked Ox falls shuttle run then down to Deep creek early spring morning before the heat awesome except for one small thing , has anyone noticed how much rubbish is being left up at the trailhead ? Redbull cans Gatoraid bottles energy bar rappers etc etc , It cant just be a small group that is doing this , there is just too much crap left up there.
Its not bad enough for the residence to be confronted with bad parking and large groups of riders every weekend but all this rubbish sucks.

olympic park!
I had my valedictory dinner last night down at acer arena so we stayed close by and couldn't resist getting up early to go check out what they had on offer. Great place for an early AM muck around.
Making progress with it.
female input
Hello ladies!
I got this e-mail a couple of days ago and was thinking there might be a secret journalist out there waiting for her calling? (Not me unfortunately !)
Cheers

Hi there,
As you are all aware, Mountain Biking is skewed firmly towards to the
blokes, as far as numbers of participants is concerned. My employer at
www.trailflix.com.au., Grant Shatford has put out the call for a MTB girl to
do some writing for this Sydney based MTB site.
The basic requirements of the column is;
200-500 words per week with one or two images focussing on women specific

Visiting George?
Hello!
If anyone is intending on visiting George apart from making a time with him for when he is home, please can you NOT visit if you have just been bike riding in either Terrey Hills, Duffy's Forest, Cascades or Oxford Falls - the horse flu is now in all of those areas and I really don't want to risk someone bringing it in. Apparently it lives on people and items - tyres etc from 48 - 72 hours so the horse site is telling us...
Most of you know I have two horses at my place which so far are free of all symtoms...I really want to keep it that way.
Speed biking on snow at 210 km/h
Austria's Markus Stoeckl, 33, set a new world record at the weekend for series mountain bikes on a renovated high-speed La Parva run in the Chile's Alps when he hit a speed of 210.4 km/h (130.7 mph). He shattered an eight-year-old record by an incredible 23 km/h (14 mph).

Silly Competitions
... once a year around 90 mentalists gather at the base of fargo street in los angeles for the fargo street hill climb. They then attempt to scale the hill on a bicycle as many times as humanly possible in a day.... this year the winner was a guy called Steve Gilmore and he managed it 92 times, in the process climbing around 14′000ft in only 15 miles.
And you thought this year's Coffs was bad?
