Gibberagong track???
Hi Guys, just down for the holdidays and exploring the area and I noticed the Gibberagong track marked on map. It starts at the end of Grosevener Street in North Wahroonga and looks to go all the way down to Bobbin Head. Has any one out there ridden this??
I was thinking it might be a nice loop down this Gibberagong track and back up the Bobbin Head tracks to the Sphynx, any comments?

If someone knows ho to move it let me know.
You can just hit the 'Edit' tab at the top of posts that you started, alter the category and re-submit.
Erm... least it should work that way. I moved it for you anyhow
Hey guys, as I commented on the Bobbin Head write up, the Spinx track splits into two, one of which is for walkers only and clearly marked as such. The other is rideable for a bit more, good climb back if you like the training
Read Sphinx Walking(cough cough) Trail from someone who claims not to have seen this, but then look at Spinx Junction (zoom the original if you have to) and notice the sign is very clear.
Either way, the report goes on to say how the track isn't much worth it - and I've heard the same from locals.
Thanks for moving the post Rob,
Unfortunately i didn't heed the warnings of foxpuppet and others describing the gibberaging track. Rode it (or should I say walked it with a 15 kg alluminium hand bag) yesterday afternoon. Its got some very short nice sections but the vast majority was unrideable for someone of my ability (read low). I would suggest beginners stay off this one.
So, of all the comments still not clear if this track is ridable from the wahroonga side down to B head ? for a meduim level rider, and would it be better on a down hill rig or XC ???
Definately a XC bike. No large drops offs. I rode the circuit (including the tar section from bobbin head back to the end of Grosvenor in about 2 1/2. The first section is a couple of ks of firec trail for the family followed by a short zig zag decent which is totally rideable with some small technical stuff (at the start of the decent is a sign that says no bicycles, well there is one there now I am told). Cross the river, wet feet and the ride along the river to bobbin head is quite picturesque and long. A lot of stop starting for a medium level rider. If you are quite good at trials then you will maybe ride 80-90% of this section but the medium X country rider will need to stop and walk small sections. 10% unrideable distance wise but this equates to about 30% time wise. I rode this alone which was a little dumb as I came close to a heart attack when I almost ended up falling into the drink near a small cliff. Eventually the track becomes more rideable and you pass some cool aboriginal carvings before cycling across the board walk to bobbin head picnic area. People will look at you as if you are from out of space before you start the roadies accent up the road from bobbin head. Prepare to be blasted off by some fit road dude who may say hello if you are lucky. Then its a 20 minute road ride back to your car at the start of the track. If you are into exploring new trails that are a little bit epic and get satisfaction from battling from point A to point B rather than going over the same ones again and again then this is worth a ride. But if you gave Manly Dam 8/10 then this ride would rate about 5/10.
