The only challenge is to see how many laps we're gunna beat you by(and possibly a side bet on Friday night after a few jars to see who has in fact got a hairy R's).

Paul's picture

Morgan because we are a mixed team and you have an all male team, using laps completed wouldn't be a fair comparison - besides you know we need to nap or we get cranky. I think using finishing position in our respective categories would be a fair comparison.

As for comparing Hairy R's we will see how the night unfolds, but I would be more confident taking on Carlgroover than you.

What a great spread of Nobmob teams in this event. We have one team in each of the following categories;
Solo Men
Pairs men
3 men
3 mixed
4 men
6 men
6 men 40+
6 mixed 40+

Sounds like a bit of friendly rivalry who would of thought you guys where so competitive.

Paul not to worry it will be a long nite I am sure there will be a girl or two in their team by the end of the race.

Morgan's picture

Nice try mate. 12 in your category, 33 in ours. Unless we're going to use percentages, think again old fella!

evan's picture

expect nothing less from you Christine.

Paul's picture

Morgan, the race hasn't even started and you are making excuses.

... besides why did you think I challenged you in the first place (40+ mixed was always going to have a lot fewer teams than 40+ men)

Carlgroover's picture

I feel this tip may help you reduce the chances of the embarrassing situation where I beat your team of 6. You're going to need your transitions to be fairly slick, so it's a good idea to have a lap board in camp and everyone takes a note of what time they finish their lap and then write it on the board when you get back to camp. This lets everyone know who's lap it is next and what time to go to the transition area for their next lap. I believe this is the best thing next to a great pair of knicks at a 24hr.
Good luck. Smiling
Unstoppable.

John you forgot to mention pre and mid race hydration (which we are experts at).

..and there is good reason why we never challenged you John - you are a machine and we would like to have some chance of winning. Even in hour 23 you will put us to shame.

Carlgroover's picture

I'll see you post race if you've got a chair a beer for me, I'll need them both.

Morgan's picture

I have an excuse for everything...

Just for everyone's info

From one of my team mates brothers Smiling

it's in the row closest to the main road into the place.
it's six plots uphill from the entrance gate on the corner closest to the road and 'main parking' area.
it's roped off with white-red climbing rope, attached to the top of wooden stakes.
in the centre of the plot is a green tarp.
and nearby is a wooden tripod tied with green twine.

Cheers
Evan
