As I suggested we shall meet, ride the fun section to the junction with Western Commission Track, stop, stand about and bullshit, perhaps consume some muesli bars and/or pieces of fruit and then it's back the way we came.
The pace will be moderate. I'm bringing my Glory because I like riding it. For a downhill sled it pedals along nicely.
Ebony the all mountain dog will stay at home as the trail is in a national park.
MWMTB / WSMTB Sydney Super XC Series Round 6 (Final series round)

This is the last round of the combined series. The track was in good condition after last weekends 8 hour.
Registration: 8am to 9am
Kids Racing: 9am to 9.30am
All other Racing: 9.30am (Starting with A Grade through to Novice with about 1min intervals between grades).
Cost: $10 each for 15 years and older. $5 each for 10 years to 14 years. Under 10's free. If you aren't a member of MTBA then a day licence will need to be purchased this will cost $15.

I might be asking for trouble, but I've always wanted to do an up-and-back trip on the oaks, and why not!
This will be my 3rd decent ride in 4 days, so I imagine I'll be riding at a "medium" pace. (I managed the oaks classic in 1hr 7min, I don't imagine I'll be doing anything like that)
Plan is to ride up via the firetrail, probably stop at the Woodford end for a bite to eat (mental note - bring food!) then come back & do the sniggle at the end.
NSW State XC Championship

It's been building to this all year and will be the last chance for our local top guns to test their legs before the World Cup the two weekends later in Canberra. Entries should be open soon.
Held at Wollongong Mountain Bike Club's track at Appin, the technical and fun track should produce some spectacular racing.

Manly Dam - Professors week off pt1

Day 1 of my week off work = Manly Dam Day.
I've only done 2 laps of this before & managed a *cracking* 50min lap, so I'll be out there to do 5 or so laps & learn the track a bit better.
Aiming to get under 45min, we'll see how that goes...
Happy for anyone to join me, the first 2 or 3 laps will be trying to learn parts that I (blush) walked last time, with a timed lap or two at the end.
Planning on bringing a bit of lunch, not taking things too seriously.

The meeting point will be opposite the ANSTO nuclear reactor. Park on the road shoulder opposite the ANSTO sign on New Illawarra Road.
As described in the heading this is a freeride and downhill ride at Menai where we will visit several of the freeride constructions and also the very good downhill track. There is no shuttle. Everyone will be pushing back to the top.
Also we will go for a general pedal about the place for the sake of some exercise and to get muddy.
The pace will be relaxed with plenty of time to repeat jumps and downhill runs.
I've set a limit of ten riders to minimize congestion.
WWS 2008 Round 6 - Stromlo

The final 8 Hour for the BMC Working Week Series for 2008 is at Stromlo, and it is indeed a part of the Nissan UCI World Cup Festival - in fact, it's the very first event of the Festival (one week beforehand)!
It's a bit of a hike, but NobMoB has had some good results in the previous rounds, and the 8 hr format is really good fun.
I'm planning on heading down Sat arvo with Groover, camping overnight.
This will be good preparation for the Scott 24, getting to know the track, logistics, camping etc.

As there was no night ride posted for this week I thought this may be a nice ride. We did this one as a training ride last month which was a really cool ride. Put this one up as a social ride...not that far to the Tavern from the shops 
We could change to Perimeter + Long, although I will need someone to lead then as I have not done these at night.
