Magishine 1400
Got my new light today, only took 3 weeks. From the boxing and connecting it all up it looks sweet, really well made. Battery quite heavy and big compared to the Ay-Ups but might be worth it if it's as good as it reckons. One cool thing is the multicolour "fuel gauge" switch.
Sure looks bright in the office

Cheap Helmet Light
CREE Q5 LED 300 LM 7W Headlamp available on eBay for $16 delivered.
Was able to modify to fit on helmet by removing the strap and attaching with velcro. Makes a great zoom-able spot light. Uses 3 AAA batteries in a separate battery pack. Runs for more than 2 hours on high using rechargeable NiMH batteries.
Niterider Minewt 700 DUAL LED Li-Ion Bike Light
People often ask about the best deal for lights and I've just noticed this on today's CBO mailing:
700lm for $299 (US) looks nice:

Nope, I have no affiliation or anything with this, just like their gear.
Garmin question
I am new to this Garmin caper and have a question about 'elevation'. I have a Garmin 310XT Forerunner and when reviewing a ride the other day I noticed an option at the base of the garmin page that said enable 'elevation corrections'. Now it seems I have been undercooking my hill training ! The new data has almost halved the elevation gains. I know the 310 isn't the most sophisticated piece of equipment but which data set is more accurate ? What is the difference between the two settings ? After reading the posts on The Angry Doctor I may need to set a new training agenda !
Help needed transfering kml, gpx files to my iphone
Guys,
i 've read the different posts about converting kml files to gpx etc, but am confused. Any help that could get the kml file from the nobmob site to my iphone would be greatly appreciated. Currently using Motion X application on my iphone. Would love to have a garmin but this is the best I can do at the moment.
Thanks
Dedicam
This will potentially open the action sports cinematography right up to anyone as its certainly a load cheaper than a heli, and could fly much closer to a rider.
Check out how close in this badboy get's into Peaty and the boys at Champery
