The Oaks - New Riders A Little Bit Below Average Bike Fitness
Glenbrook Station.
6:53am depart Glenbrook Station
7:23am arrive Woodford Station
I am taking a new rider friend. Based on 05/12/09 ride with same friend, the trip from Woodford to Glenbrook will take 2.5hrs.
This is an ideal invitation for someone that wants to try the Oaks Trail but for one reason or another is uncomfortable starting it alone. You will be more than welcome to stay with me and anyone else that turns up for all or part of the ride but I will stay with the slowest rider(s).
Manly Dam 2 Laps
King Street (near corner with Arana Street), Manly Vale. You know - outside Manly Hydraulics Lab.
I intend on stopping at the Dam on the way home. My intention is to do 2 laps before last light so no lights will be required. We can stop an play on the bits that have challenged us recently
Terry Hills via St Ives showground.
Park opposite/beside Terrey Hills shops, corner Booralie Rd/Yulong Ave. Or in the small carpark next to the RFS station & community centre.
Planning on starting at Terry Hills shops, Neverfail, Larool, gun club fire trail, showground, gun club single then Rylands to Sandy trail. Then a bit of a look to link up with Cullimine and then Perimeter, Long trails back to the shops.
Hornsby to Mt White with Pies
Old Pacific Hwy Hornsby outside the church/ across the road from Hornsby Locksmith
Training ride up to Mt White and the Interchange, then return, with a stop off at Pie in the Sky.
The idea is a training ride at a steady pace with a reasonable tempo.
Meet at Hornsby 10 minutes early for an 8 am start.
There is no real opportunity for water along the way, so bring sufficient to get you up there and back to Pie in the sky (approx 50k).
Mid week Menai - Fun in the dark!
By the sports field on Old Illawarra Road, Barden Ridge.
This ride is not for the faint hearted or beginner as we'll be tackling some pretty tricky terrain.
Pace will be slow going up and on the flat, but pretty quick on the way down!
Most of the regular riders will be wearing armour, as we usually come off at least once or twice, so it is advisable. Other than that, your bike, a good light and your ability to dodge spiders, is all you need for this fun packed ride.
Hope to see you there.
PS: Don't forget a beer for afters.
Terrey Hills Encore
Park opposite/beside Terrey Hills shops, corner Booralie Rd/Yulong Ave. Or in the small carpark next to the RFS station & community centre.

Beat The Heat: Duck Holes + Centre Track Newby/Social Early Starter
Park opposite/beside Terrey Hills shops, corner Booralie Rd/Yulong Ave. Or in the small carpark next to the RFS station & community centre.
With all the hot weather we've been getting, it's time to start getting out a little earlier!
This ride will be at social pace, with time to regroup, take photos of the views, catch your breath, re-do sections if you wish. Distance is about 15km, with some elevation change and a small amount of road riding in the middle. Great views from parts of Centre Track, as advised by Rob.
I haven't ridden Centre Track myself yet, so we can explore together. Come and join us for the best part of the day.
