The most (anti ?) social ride this year
Coming from Sydney, drive into Queenbeyan, turn left at the roundabout where Red Rooster is and stay on this road for about 11km. Park on the side of the road where the gate is. For better directions try this link CORC: Events: Race Venues.
I have to be an optimistic bugger , or perhaps i should just face facts , i have no friends here .... but thats ok , i can ride into the sunset at Sparrow hill to my hearts content building a platform on my way to glory at the Scott 24 in October in our very competitive team El Rancho Relaxo . My plan tonight is to ride for about two hours here and get a feed ( red rooster , why change) and scoot off to Stromlo for a standard Green Loop flyer ( working on a sub 40 min night lap ) and then try to beat it for another one ... Any takers ??
Very important note !!!

Come on you lot , get you butts down here and race as hard or as casual as you like . I will probably give the D grade quicks a shake this time , after a very quick two week training blitz .....But dont let that intimidate you , super smooth single track , no agro and perhaps even a great coffee for the trip back home ! you may even have some talent , skill or even fitness and want to go higher than the dizzy heights of D grade , there is C for three laps , and even B four laps and it just gets scary up from here all the way up to A grade .
Pennant Hills Park/Lane Cove National Park
Turn left into Pennant Hills Park from the round-a-bout on Britannia St ,there is a car park on the right approx 70 metres in
A fun medium pace ride with fire roads & technical that will test your skill & fitness.
Suitable for chattie types
Fingers crossed Night Ride no longer @ Manly Dam Now at Terrey Hills
Terrey Hills Tavern. Park on the road to avoid putting pressure on the management.
Note due to the condition of the dam, this ride has been moved to Terrey Hills.
We'll still meet for a 7:30 start, and do a quick lap of Duckholes and Center.
Thurday Night Ride for Supporters of the MIGHTY (lost cause) BLUES
Terrey Hills Tavern
For all you people that were glued to the TV in support of the blues, or if you couldnt make Wednesday's ride for any reason - dont despair! I propose a night ride doing Duckholes and Centre Track on Thursday night, returning in time for Food and beer at the Tavern.
Come one come all... Even Queenslanders I suppose.
An afternoon of fun at Menai
By the sports field on Old Illawarra Road, Barden Ridge.
Looking to take the new bike for a run out Saturday afternoon.
It will be more of a stop, start and rerun on some of the technical trails and in the free ride areas, compared to my usual socail ride.
Beginners will find this tuff going and reasonable bike skills will be needed. (And before Delicious adds a comment, yes I haven't the skills needed and I'll probably fall off a couple of times.)
If we get heavy rain between now and then I'll probably cancel. I'll update Friday evening.
Appin Social Ride
Corner Burke & Market St, Appin. There's a small parking area here at the trail head.
I'm ready for some more fun at Appin, the Appin track is 10km long and features a number of fun technical sections.
The pace will be relaxed, we can stop and play on sections if people want. I've posted a ride time of three hours, you don't have to do this I image we should be riding past the cars every 50 minutes or so.
