Terry Hills BMX Track for dirt jumps!
Meet at Terry Hills BMX Track. Its at Melbourne Memorial Reserve on Aumuna Rd just off Mona Vale Road.
Well i've got zero dirt jumping experience and have been wanting to try it for a lot time, so have decided to give it a go. Terry Hills BMX Track is well maintained, smooth, safe and flowing and i think is a great place to build up some skills and confidence. You can also roll everything and just pedal/pump the track which would in itself be good fun/practice.
If you would like to join me see you there at 10am this Saturday. I will be on my white & black NS street bike (in my sig)
Cheers,
Yarramundi Trainning Ride for Angry Dr
Maybe put two groups together. I am keen to do some training, but I don't think that i am that fit. I have also got some slower guys coming possibly.
Works well though because it is a loop and you can do and go where ever you want and at the speed you want.
I want the morning to be rather relaxed and all who are keen are welcome to come along and have some fun.
A Few Laps of the Dam
Just planning a few social laps of the dam. Nothing serious. Anyone is welcome to come along.
Cascades night ride
Meeting at the power stationy thing, Ralston Ave
Yes I know it's late notice, but if anyone fancies a quick ride tonight I'll be there. Not planning on going mental, but will try to keep a constant ride. Cascades, up the steep Quarry climb, past the pump station and back down the water bars.
Cascades Training Ride :P
Meet at the end of Wyatt Ave in Belrose.
Riding the 4 gates 3 times.
Down heath, up quarry, down, up to acron, down, up to davidson, down, up heath. Repeat 2 more times.
This will be a training ride with alot of hills.
So riding will be continuous with minimal breaks.
Bring lots of water and food. At over 50km and 1600m of elevation, it will be a tough ride.
There may be the option to pull out after 2 laps depending on legs. I for one know I may not make the distance....

Manly Dam endurance training ride (Dam IS open)
A solid paced training ride in preparation for the Stromlo 8hr next week.
I expect to be turning out 45-50 min laps for up to 5 hrs depending on the conditions.
It will be a consistent pace, no intentional stopping, apart from food/water top-ups every couple of laps.
I'm happy for anyone to join in/drop off for laps as suits, will be coming past the car park every 45-50 min or so (unless we have a mechanical or other unforeseen event). A good level of fitness and bike handling skill required.
Maintenance on Dam is finished (This morning), so the full loop is open.
6 Foot Track
Post if interested, and we will arrange a meeting point.
Leon and I are doing the 6 foot track on Friday. He is giving me a lift to Katoomba from St Ives. We will ride the track until we get tired, then head back.
I'm thinking that we would leave St Ives between 8 and 9.
Wiseman's Ferry ride - CANCELLED
Wisemans Ferry car park
One last hit-out before tapering off for the Angry Doctor..
This will be the 'tech softie' 100k version, up the Western Commission Track, follow the (surprisingly technical) GNR to Mogo Creek and back down the gravel to Wiseman's thru St Albans to test your mental powers of endurance. Starting a bit earlier this time and stopping as little as possible so there's a chance of grabbing "a cup o' tea an' a slice of cake Aunt Sally" at the Fickle Wombat in St Albans & get back to the car before dark..
