Mt Annan - Training
There's a small parking area on Caley Drive next to the trail head. This is approximately 2.1km South from the larger road junction (circle) at Mt Annan Drive and approximately 1.4km South of the main car park.
Their address is Mount Annan Drive, Mount Annan NSW 2567. See:
Very last minute but it's probably the only dry place I can think of. I have never been there but planning on doing laps for some sore of training for Dirtworks. SMS me if you can join me.
Sunday at the dam?
King Street (near corner with Arana Street), Manly Vale. You know - outside Manly Hydraulics Lab.
Any one keen for a couple of laps of the dam on sunday? I'm a Beginner/Intermediate rider but any one is welcome. Just trying to meet some local riders really.
SOCIAL Nightride [Terrey Hills]
Aumuna Road, in front of Terrey Hills Tavern Car Park.
Social Night Ride @ Terrey Hills, Perimeter & Long Trail
This ride starts at 7 PM to get us back before the Tavern's kitchen closes for last orders at 8:39 PM.
[Everyone welcome - suitable for newbies, too...social pace...we're riding mostly easy fire-trail]
Hope to see you there at 7 PM...
Rgds, Hans
First Timers @ Menai
By the sports field on Old Illawarra Road, Barden Ridge.
Would like to ride Menai for the first time, are there any locals that can show me and mate around?
GNR on Easter Monday
Wisemans Ferry - by the East ferry crossing (turn right bottom of the hill). There is a good parking area by the kiosk here.
As discussed.
GNR Training ride before the DW, a great opportunity to scout some of the course before the DW in particular some of the techy descents down Shepards Gulley.
Meeting at 9.30am, I can make it later if people wish, just thought that might be a decentish time, not to early, not to late.
3 Ring Circus Wingello 10am
4Km SW of Wingello village on Caoura Rd there's a small base camp within the forest - seems as good a place as any.
Have just registered for 3 Ring Circus. If anyone else is gathering under the big top, let's know about it. I'm pretty new to enduro races. Just did capital punishment 50kms, time on the bike in total 4 hours (without the timing adjustment) to give an idea of my casual pace. It's more about finishing and having a ball on the downhill bits for me.
WSMTB Club XC Round 3
There's a car park (click for foggy picture) on Springwood Road - just down the way from Hawkesbury Heights if you're looking for a suburb name.
The third round of the WSMTB Club XC series will be held at 9.30am Sunday 22 May - all welcome! Registrations all taken on the day from 8.00 to 8.50am (lastest!). See www.wsmtb.com for details
Glenbrook to the Oaks
Glenbrook Park. In the small car park opposite the shops.
Glenbrook to the Oaks(the middle gate) via Euroka and Bennetts Ridge firetrail, return on the Oaks single track.
All welcome!!
WInmalee Fri evening
Behind the nursery on Hawkesbury road.
BM Epic and myself are heading out for a ride round Winmalee Fri afternoon/evening if anyone wants to join in.
Lights may be required for the end depending on how long we ride for.
Starting behind the nursery on Hawkesbury rd we'll head down the grotto to ride the freshly conditioned track then either through Bluegum or along Shaws Ridge. Next we take on the beast that is Bee's Nest (I made it up last week so I need a repeat to show it wasn't a fluke). We'll take a breather at the lookout then cruise back along Springwood Ridge with a couple of drops along the way.
See you there.
The Rock Wallaby - Mountain Bike Enduro
North end of Burke St, Appin. There's a small parking area here at the trail head.
Note that the map shows Market Street connecting Appin Rd to this location but that is actually a firetrail and will not work for drivers who should take King St (next block South) and enter from there.
Appin rocks! And Appin has lots of rocks which is why it's so fun to ride! The Rock Wallaby enduro was born at the request of the township of Appin as part of their Bicentenary celebrations and to highlight what an oasis of singletracky goodness Appin has become.
This inaugural event will be held on Sunday 15 May, with the kind assistance of the people of Appin and Wollongong Mountain Bike Club (WMBC). In 2011 it has the dual purpose of celebrating the town's Bicentennial year as well as introducing an exciting new enduro event to the Australian race calendar.
