When a plan doesn't come together
On the long weekend, thanks to terrible northern beaches weather, I made plans to repair my car and my bike. On saturday I attacked the car with no problems. On sunday I stripped the bottom bracket off the bike, attempting to change the bearings in the cups. I had done this before on a Race Face X type, but my Shimano BB is different. I could not get a punch on the back of the bearing and couldn't get it to budge...
My new ride = Giant Reign 1
Just wanted to drop a note about my new ride. I've been riding a Giant VT3 for the last 7 years and got pretty used to how it climbed and descended.
Free day, looking for a place to ride
Managed to organise a day off work. Looking to ride XC anywhere across Sydney. Can anybody recommend a place where it hasn't rained much......happy to drive anywhere. (Sydney/Outer sydney that is.)
Is Menai a chance?

Like the rest of Coastal NSW north of Sydney, it's a waterlogged hellhole out there - unrideably wet and sandy/muddy at the moment...

Centre Track update for 14 Jun
Went through on Monday morning. Lots of standing water and surprisingly 2 sets of tyre tracks.
While this is generally the best of the fire trails I wouldn't recommend it until it stops raining for a few days.

can a rusty chain be brought back?
hey,
say you cleaned your bike one day including taking off the chain and you left the good quality (middle tier shimano) chain outside on the patio and forgot about it and due to all the bad weather keeping you off the bike you only stumbled across it about 3 weeks later to find it all rusty...can the chain be brought back to life somehow?
obviously i would never be this careless, it's just my mate said this is what happened...
my mate would appreciate any constructive feedback thanks,

A poket of water or 2 on the single tail but other than that is all good. But you will need to check the Weir as all of the rain.
