I wonder whether anything like this could ever work in Sydney?

Chains suck, Chain suck.
When my chain gets muddy it suffers chain suck really bad. I wanna throw my bike into the bush (nearly did on saturday).
Is it an old chain thats stretched, middle cog too old or an inherent problem in mud, The drivetrain was changed at the same time a few months ago, please HEELLPP , this drives me NUTS....!!!!

Singlespeed?
Looks like I might be getting a singlespeed 29er to play with for a few weeks - having never ridden a 29er nor a singlespeeder previously.
29ers I can get my head around, but I'm wondering what folks who've ride singlespeeders - and enjoy them - find that they do for their riding.
I'm quite looking forward to it if it comes off - although I can't see myself making it up Hearbreak Hill or Quarry Climb without getting off and pushing!

BB-30/press-in bb setups
Does a Trance X have "BB-30/press-in bb setups". I know I have BB, but is it "BB-30/press-in bb setups"?
I'm heading back to 1x9 and this time I'd like to use the following:
