Manly Dam update for 04 Jul

Area:
Manly Dam
Status:
Amber/Some Issues

Most of the trails are dry and fairly robust. A bit wet on the descent after the golf course sniggle.

The bottom of the Allambie fire trail is damp, wet and nasty.

B-line middle roll off at the 19th hole is washed out and a nice wheel trap is made in the rocks. (Gotta teach the young-un to loft his front wheel... he OTB'd and landed with the bike still clipped on, upside down. No teeth lost thank God.)

Red Hill update for 03 Jul

Area:
Red Hill
Status:
Green/Open

Pretty much ok. The water is mostly confined to a 3 or 4 large puddles, but otherwise the tracks are dry and plenty of fun.

Some obvious signs of motos ripping the place up recently, causing a fair bit of damage, particularly around the dirt jump area.

Doing Duel

Hi everyone, thanks for a great ride today. I went to the local shop today and they were selling a merida one twenty tfs 700 for an awesome deal brand new. Instead of my buying a new shock im considering taking the leap and buying a dualy. I also rode a specialized fsr xc which was set up for my weight and now im hooked!!!! Much better then a hardtail.

My question is whats everyone opinion on the merida?

Btw it has some really good kit, like a preitty much full xt drivetrain, suntour epicon shock? 120mm all round suspension.

Thanks

Terrey Hills update for 03 Jul

Am going to give this a green light. As with few weeks back there's still some standing water on Perimeter & Long but nothing too serious. I'd imagine the other trails south of Booralie road might be a bit damper but should be rideable.
