As you might know, Dreggsy is riding this charity event. Sounds a bit tough from the second day's report:
Cops on bikes...
mmmh...they should introduce this in NSW...raises cycling awareness and therefore makes the road safer...
(as motorists surely wouldn't dare to "nudge" or hurl abuse at a cycling cop) 
Lost Car Key at the Dam Thursday AM
Hey there guys, a mate was lapping the dam this morning at breakneck speed ..... (make him feel better!)
and lost the key to his car.... followed by the plot ....
It's a Black Mitsubishi Key on it's own ....
One desperate owner !!!!!

Update on CRC order...
I've had some queries re the recent CRC order ...it was placed and paid on thew 21/9 and is currently in "processing stage". There is one item out of stock (29'er Geax tyre)...I've sent them an email to not hold up the rest of the order (22 items)...

Both are 4 Bolt, 104mm, 32T 9 Speed
Question; even though it states that it is not the heavy duty genuine version, is the Saint ring harder wearing than the XT-LX?
I have Hollowtech 1 cranks. Will it fit OK?
Shimano XT - Saint Chainring Middle M760 - M800
NOTE, This is the XT chainring, it is listed as Saint also as it fits that chainset, BUT it is NOT the heavy duty genuine Saint rings.

Wolgan rail trail clean up
There has been a bit of a push to turn the old Newnes rail way from Clarence to Wolgan into a rail trail, While I think this is a good idea in principal I'm worried about dumbing the trail down. The line is long enough that I'm sure that it can include something for everyone. The final part of the ride from the bottom of the Coach rd down to the camp ground is a great ride but a little over grown at the moment so Thomas from the Newnes hotel is orgaining some clean up days to open it up.
If we can get enough riders there to help out with the work we can make sure we keep it interesting.

Entry to each event cost is $57 per rider + gst
All events starts at 12pm and finish at 10pm.
Teams of 1,2,3 and 4 with ‘Everyone’s a solo’ so teams can do laps together.
A rider cap of 150 will be in place.
Toilets and BBQ will be on site.
On course treasure hunt.
Trophies and cash for 1st,2nd and 3rd.
Trophies, 1st,2nd and 3rd for Mostest Laps Ever (Series winners).
Prizes for most laps on a vintage (pre 1997) bike
Entry to the random frame drawing for riders that attend all events.

Hey everyone,
l have a steel road frame hanging around and was just thinking about making a cyclocross bike.
What l want to know is, could l take it on many of the trials around Sydney?
And, would it be good to take on the easier trials at Stromlo?
