Pedals - What do you use?

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

After opinions on pedals.

I currently run a set of VP clipless pedals that also have a platform. They are quite heavy (I think I weighed them at 564g :0 ) and I want to upgrade. If I'm going to spend the money, I want to get something decent and light.

XT $132 and 352g. Probably my first choice, as I'm a bit of a shimano whore.

XTR $195 and 325g. Not sure if the extra expence validates the 27g saving.

Will aim to do 2, possibly 3 laps.

All welcome Smiling

Pain behind the knee caps

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Anyone else experienced quite sharp pain behind the knee caps?

I can start to feel it and it bothers me a little bit whilst riding. But it's when I get off the bike and I go to squat down, walk up or more so walk down stairs. The pain get's so intense my leg almosts collapses. My right knee seems worse than my left. And it pretty much goes after a few days of not riding.

I was told that it could be my riding position and the angle that my cleats are set up at. Yes, I use clipless pedals.

This is not a ride, but everyone who is interested in riding in Lane Cove National Park should attend!

Please register your attendance (name and number of people) by COB 14th August to either:

[email protected] (preferred)
Tel: 02 8448 0400

It is a public session being run by NPWS where they will be discussing the review of the current Plan of Management. A show of support for riding in the park would very much help the cause.

Notes from LCNP Stakeholder Meeting 16 Jul

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

So, I went to a LCNP stakeholder meeting with NPWS last night. Here are a few notes that people here might be interested in...

There were maybe 35 people there. Mostly they were the from the more mature park patronage age group. The only recreational pursuits represented (by 4 people) were kayaking, MTB, trail running. There were a few officials from local councils, RTA, etc. and the rest of the group being from more conservation based groups.

Weird feeling from rear wheel

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

G'day all,

Having owned my Enduro for a few months now I'm starting to really get a good feel for the bike and how it behaves. Though one thing is bothering me.

As I ride along, the rear wheel feels like I have a flat tyre....
