night ride!!!!
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Terrey Hills Tavern - naturally!!
Hello!
Does anyone want to ride Duck Ponds and Centre Track on Wednesday night - I know we only did it yesterday but it was so dry and they forecast more rain - obviously if it's pouring I will stay at home and watch Spicks and Specks instead...
This will be a SOCIAL ride which means if you want to ride at 20ks and hour don't think I will be!! hee hee

Deflating UST tyres
I've had UST tyres for about 2 months with no problems, only needing to occasionaly top them up.
Then all of a sudden on Thursday morning after a Wednesday Night ride they were flat as a tack.
I pumped them up to 40 pounds and there is no apparent leakage (of air or sealant), then 48 hours later they were flat again.
I thought they were supposed to be self sealing, has anyone had this problem with UST's or know how to fix it.

Beechworth, Thredbo and Bermagui end of year
Heading down to Albury at end of year (boxing Day) and going to hit up Beechworth and then a couple of days in Thredbo , before coming back via Bermagui Mtb park anyone interested in coming down around those dates to sync up some rides (back in sydney around NY, although thinking about spending NYE in thredbo) your more than welcome, should be an absolute blast!- Ill post back in a few days when things a bit more concrete, anyone keen especially for Thredbo around then though, let me know and ill look into the bookings etc..
Cheers,
Alex

Mont Bee?
Don't know how this slipped past MTB-OZ without reply, but I'm posting here 'cos I found it amusing.
Someone originally asked:
What's this???
http://www.mtbwagga.asn.au/gallery/main.php?g2_i...
And how did it get past scrutineering with those finger chopping wheels?
To which I replied:
A bumble bee?
OK, OK - the picture from said link:
Does no-one else see it?

New Seatpost
As some of you will know I was lucky enough to receive the gift of a Thompson Masterpiece seatpost recently.
Fitted it today - and very swish it is too. Am impressed with the adjustment (tilt especially) mechanism and overall looks a quality product.
The old one (a Ritchey Comp) had a tendency to slip sometimes despite cranking up the clamp silly-like. Am hoping the slight, 'ribbed for your pleasure', feeling of the Thompson will stop that.
The Masterpiece is also a whopping 110g lighter[1] than the Ritchey it replaces - niiiice!
Thanks all!
[1] As measured by myself - the claimed weights are 305g 'v' 193g.

New and keen for DH
Hey,
I've just recently signed up to this site.
I live on the south side of sydney and am keen to make the trip north to check out the oxford falls DH.
So do you guys hook up on weekends and run shuttles? cause that would be sweet to get involved in, I'm getting kinda sick of pushing my bike back to the top of some local runs around my area...
So i guess its best to just keep an eye on upcomming rides yeah?
Cheers
Nik

Dented Crossmax XL Rim
I've just got back from a ride and found a dent in my Crossmax. Anyone had the same problems before and know how to repair it? Or is there a Mavic service centre or a bike shop that will do repairs?
Thanks in advance.

Best MTB computer?
Just wondering if any one can recommend a decent bike computer that can handle rugged conditions. Extra features such as Cadence (RPM) & Altitude would be great, without the expense of buying a Garmin Cycling GPS. What is better, Wired or Wireless?
