GNR From Mangrove Mountain
From Mangrove Mountain pumping station to bottom of Shepherds Gully and return.
This is another group's preferred starting point for GNR rides, the only downside is the rather dubious route across the pumping station weir to start/finish.
Mooney Mooney from Brieses Rd
Tough Mooney Mooney ride incorporating 'The Bucket' first then the trail by the Creek. Four big climbs and especially tough way to finish.
This ride includes a lot of firetrail, some of it pretty technical due to the nature of the rough surface. A great challenge!
There's also the creek crossing to contend with... probably not a good idea after heavy rain:

Perimeter/Long/Cowan from Durumbil Rd
Skipping part of Perimeter but including Cowan and sniggle.
Durumbil Road (end of Echunga - also known as 'Japanese School') entry is handy after rain as the part of Perimeter East of there is renowned for getting waterlogged.
Adding Cowan trail boosts the vertical and distance to almost the same as the classic route in this case.
Perimeter + Long Trails
'Classic' Terrey Hills ride from shops to end of Long Trail and return.
Park at the usual meeting point and ride past the RFS station bearing right.
You'll cross by the side of a playing field and onto Cowrang Ave. Turn left and roll down here, bearing right down Nerang Ave to the trail head.
This is the start of the dirt. Enter the track which takes a 90 degree turn left almost immediately.
Follow this along for 6.22km. There are a few side trails on the way, but ignore them. The turn for Long trail is signposted and a right turn tee junction. Take that and ride to the end of the trail where there is a nice view to enjoy:
Bairne + Soldiers Point + Portuguese + Topham Tracks
Easy out and back along Bairne tracks followed by slightly harder Topham Track.
There's a beautiful view over to the Basin from the end of Soldiers Point:
The Best of Great Northern Road from Wisemans Ferry
From the ferry up Devines Hill, to Clares Bridge and return via Shepherds Gully and the road.
This is a great out and back taking in the best parts of Great Northern Road.
Park on the South side of the river (by the kiosk) and take the ferry across.
Turn left and 500m or so you'll see the gated entrance to Devines Hill on the right. Cross the road and ride up there. This is a nice smooth almost gravel type of surfaced road and although a big slog (around 180m vertical) is easy if taken at your own pace.
