Terrey Hills - Echunga Road to Long Trail Lookout & Return
Out and return from Echunga Road along Perimiter and Long trails to the lookout and return.

Easy (to) beat ...
I managed the out and return from Echunga Road to the lookout in 49 minutes and 56 seconds yesterday (2 Sep '07) - which was a BIG effort for me (especially the last 500m to get under 50 minutes). Time out was 25:30, return 24:26. Time excludes a few minutes for a comfort break at the lookout.
According to my Edge 305:
- Distance: 16.97 km
- Total ascent: 275 m
- Average speed: 20.4 km/h
- Max speed: 44.7 km/h
- Average heart rate: 158 bpm
- Maximum heart rate: 185 bpm
Ride was on my Giant Reign (propedal off, if that makes a difference).

The resent improvements to the dam are an example of poor research and implementation!
No braging this lap either BUT as PB is a PB 43 sec down to 40

Majura Pines, Apec Long Weekend

Stromlo Forest Park, Apec Long Weekend
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Checking Out the supposedly jaw dropping trails at Stromlo finally making a day of it and having a good cruise and all round fun ride :)in particular will be checking out the new DH course just opened up, and the new beginners Dh too.
All are welcome to come, should be good times!
I can assist in organising accomodation if need be, where ill be staying has availabilty from $48 to $99+ and has a pool and sauna, which will come in handy for the next day at Majura Pines as i dare say will be quite sore by then , and is located in between the 2..

chain problem?
Hi there!
Sorry to ask a very basic question but I am still getting my head around the whole 'technical fix your bike' stuff.
I cleaned my chain after the OF ride yesterday and noticed that one of the links wasn't moving anymore. I tried to clean it, put heaps of oil on it and tried to move/bend it manually for a while to loosen it. It has slightly improved but not too much really.
Is that normal and just dirt or is it possible that something is bent (that I can't see)??
And should I replace it or see what happens when riding next time?
Cheers
Caro
