Royal National Park update for 01 Apr
Lady Carrington Drive - very wet and muddy in many places but all very ridable. Great trail to take the kids or just to walk.
Didn't get to ride Loftus Oval this time so unable to comment but given the amount of overnight rain, I'd say it would be similar.

Wildflower Garden update for 01 Apr
Did the ride back from Ryland after sniggle next to Mona Vale Rd. Its a swamp and overgrown with grass and lantana behind the gun club. Trees down everywhere and hills worn away with big rocks. Basically carried the bike for a couple of K's. Not much point really. This is the section between Ryland and back of St Ives showground. Watch out for snakes, leaches and ticks.

24 hour MTB race to be run at Manly Dam next year.
Just caught up with a guy I know very well in council. There are concrete plans to have a 24 hr MTB race around the dam sometime soon. As part of it 2km of existing and new single track will be cut in on the southern side climb.
About time I say! Should be announced shortly.

OMV - The best place in the world?
How good is Old Man's Valley at Hornsby? I did a few laps there this morning then took my 9 and 12 year old boys there this afternoon. My 12 year old said it's "one of the best places in the world - like an amusement park but free!". And they both said now they can see why I'm so obsessed with mountain biking. It really is a great facility - I saw everyone from elite riders to guys on Huffys and parents with kids, but they all had one thing in common - they were smiling. Old Mans Valley is a fantastic example of a great MTB facility in the heart of suburbia, and great use of disused land.

Not so hot but dry and loose. Makes those off camber bends even more exciting.

Ourimbah State Forest update for 31 Mar
In good condition from what I can tell. First ride there so if it was in better condition before, must have been great. Had a great time there, another well constructed and kept track not far from Sydney. Was there for 2 hours and only rode the main tracks and stumbled upon others, heaps of single tracks going off everywhere that need to be explored.

Terrey Hills update for 30 Mar
Just a few patches of standing water, but aside from that all good.
Is it that I haven't been on a MTB for some time (cough!) or is the steep pinch on the Long Trail stupid sketchy with zero grip to get up there?
