Old Man's Valley update for 03 Jan
What an awesome little trail! Holding up well to the first 10 days of official use. Conditions today were firm but a little dusty. Quite a few cars at the trail head but didn't have too many issues with traffic.
I love the balance beam filters to the black runs. About time that we had some skills sections on our trails. Good to see most riders giving them a go, even if the outcome was a little painful for some.
The only thing that remains is to ask, please sir, can I have some more?
Do you have more information?
If you've ridden here lately please add a more recent report. This will be useful even if the condition is the same as updates expire after 30 days.

Ergonomic bike setup
I'm looking for someone who can set up a MTB for best ergonomic fit as I'm starting to develop a bit of pain here and there. It is worse on my training bike than on the racing bike so I'm hoping I can rid myself of some of the discomfort by getting the bike properly setup.
If any of you have had a good experience please advise where to go to get it properly done.
Thanks
[Mod. moved to shopping as this is asking for recommendations]

Bargo Colliery
I went yesterday to spot called Bargo Colliery, which is 20min further south of Mt Annan.
After much research and planning from various logs I could find online, I had finally a course ready and loaded in my Garmin… well unfortunately the first few single trails I went were unused since a while and therefor too much overgrown; so I gave up and went to Mt Annan!
But it looked that someone marked trails there, as per the blue tags attach on the bushes. Unfortunately, they were hard to find and the area is big.

Wanted: Rear Derailleur / 26" front wheel / Hyd. Brake / Trance Hanger
Looking to buy the following parts for my son's bike...(as he managed to mangle all these parts on his recent race )
a) Rear Derailleur (pref SRAM X7 or X9 or similar)
b) Front MTB wheel 26 inch, normal QR axle, 6 hole disc
c) Disc brake set (front only is OK, too)
d) Derailleur Hanger for Giant Trance
Please contact me ASAP as I have to assemble this before our weekend bike trip. Happy to pick up.
My contact tel nr is on my profile.
Cheers, Hans

Good Conditions, but room for improvement with a less busy dam.
Love the Dam Ride!

recommendations for tyre to help with climbing
At the moment I'm running Hutchinson Bulldogs 26x2.3 on front and back, but more and more I'm finding the rear slipping or flinging out in faster technical sections when it rides up against a sloped rock...also wouldn't mind a little more grip with handling the occasional rocky uphill climb.
Any recommendations in this area?

Withdrawn: Old fork
Just building up an old crapper to ride around the streets and local tracks with kids instead of having to take the real bike out. Does anyone have an old set of suspension forks with 80-120mm travel they are no longer using? Steerer tube length needs to be about 280-300mm, 1 1/8", 9mm QR and rim brake mounts. Up to $100

IMBA Manly Dam audit
Hi all
We have been meeting with Warringah Council discussing this proposed audit and it has just been announced that IMBA are the successful applicant to their request for quote.
This is great news to finally get an mtb specialist to take a look at the place to guide future works.
It is likely this may begin this month including some rider consultation.
We will keep you all updated.
