Langkawi MTB Race - Video
I went to Langkawi with high hopes for a good race this year. I got all sorts of problems which cost me any chance of that. However, I did get a very good Australian 19yr old to ride with my helmet cam for the short track XC race. 85 riders on the startline. Crazy speed throughout. Extremely aggressive.
I s'pose not many Nobmobbers will have done any XCC racing (just 40mins long) so I thought you'd like a view from the very very front.

Terrey Hills update for 24 Oct
Rode from the Larool Track through to Sandy and Perimeter Tracks today. All good, but still plenty of running / seeping water about the place. Cut out at the Euchunga Rd, so not sure of the condition of perimeter through to Nerang Ave.

Wildflower Garden update for 24 Oct
Rode from Snives Showground through to Ryland Track today. Top bit of sniggle is fine (and well trafficked). Bottom run is still very muddy.

Lost key at Yellomundee
There was a Subaru key lost out on the track at Yellomundee on Sunday 23 Oct during the WSMTB race. Please let me know on [email protected] if you find it.

Yellomundee Regional Park update for 24 Oct
Yellomundee is dry with some loose sand and stones in places - but all OK. We will do some work clearing edges before the 4 Hour Twilight race on 19 Nov (6-10pm)

It's not news to us of course, but it looks like it is news for the mainstream media. Our dirty little secret is out 
Mountain biking is now the subject of travel and health articles in Sydney newspapers. Besides the multi-page spread in the Sunday Telegraph's chix section Body & Soul a couple of weekends ago, I've noticed more and more travel articles appearing in places like the Sydney Morning Herald.

Does a new chain need cleaning?
I'm about to change my chain for the first time... I've seen it done a few times now, & taken out a broken link once myself. Not hard.
But, does my new XTR chain come pre-lubed? Or do I have to degrease it and re-lube it? What is that stuff it's coated in in the packet...
