Cascades update for 07 Aug
Track is wet and very bad erosion - Dangerous on the downhill.
Will need a few dry days!!

Make the Census count
Regular commuter or not, consider riding to work on Tuesday in order to be able to answer question 45 on the census with a vote for cycling. Every vote counts for better cycling facilities.
The Oaks update for 06 Aug
Fire trail and single track are both clear and dry. The rocky section at the end of the single track seems to be getting too worn with multiple tracks through the rocks, still enjoyable but a lot of wear appearing.

Andersons update for 06 Aug
track is smooth and clear, nothing that will hold back the thrill seekers, ride out from creek has been graded and is almost as smooth as tarmac, making the climb possible! The creek is above pedal height so prepare to get wet feet!

Manly Dam update for 06 Aug
The Dam wasnt too bad this morning. Riders need to be careful of the newly exposed rocks due to the recent rain. A 4wd has been thru the fire trail and left deep ruts in some of the clay bogs so take care as the deep spots are still soggy. New lines are starting to develop on the fire trail as riders are adjusting to this.
I believe that the single track leading down to the 19th MAY be closed as their is a lonesome sign saying that part of the track is closed??? A quick walk down reveals the logdrops etc have almost doubled in size...
The rest of the single track has basically dried out, again leaving some exposed rocks here and there. Some of the speed hump logs have become quite pronounced now... Good opportunity to go OTB.
The boardwalk leading down to the labs is fine, but there are some interesting drops and rocks after it...
The track past the school has a damp patch before leading up to the pinch. Be aware of the nicely placed rocks in the puddles...
The rest of the track is great! All the way back to the wakehurst entrance.
Almost green - except for the Closed section - so still amber.

Do You Know a School Teacher who Mountain Bikes?
As most of you will have seen, Warringah Council has just wound up a four week on-line survey on mountain biking in Warringah. We hear the response rate has been pleasing.
Our trail advocacy group Trail Care is communicating with Council on this, and has a small job we'd like some help with from a school teacher.
Ideally, we'd like a Phys Ed teacher to be involved, but any teacher who is prepared to encourage mountain biking within schools and is within reach of Warringah would be suitable.
Terrey Hills update for 05 Aug
Perimeter and Long - via Nerang Rd. The entrance was better than expected with Nerang drying out and passable. Perimeter was more wet than i imagined with lots of puddles and boggy bits - Long was better but still surprised how soft it is
