Australia's best bacon and egg roll

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

After a Manly Dam lap today, I was on my way home to Cremorne when the hunger pangs set in and I realised that my stomach must be immediately satisfied. I am normally partial to a bacon and egg roll after a ride, as this contains the perfect mix of muscle building protein and a greasy, salty taste that can't be beat. Plus a V is good too. Laughing out loud

Area:
Cascades
Status:

I rode the Cascades today and was surprise at its condition. There were a few puddles at the bottom, hence the name.
The hills aren't getting any easier. Great ride out!!!! Enjoyed it.

Yellomundee Regional Park update for 11 Feb

Status:
Green/Open

Rode out here this morning, some minor wash outs on single track downhills, some sand build up on lower parts of trials, a couple of corners really catch you out with soft sand! A little bit of water in spots, but nothing much, also some debris caught up on creek crossings, which I guess will be cleared by the guys from WSMTB before their next ride day.

Otherwise conditions are great, no dust, generally lots of grip and lots of fun.

Kenda Nevegal Tires

I'm thinking of replacing the tires on my Trek and considering some Nevegal tires, anybody know who stocks them on the north shore?
Cheers

Appin Fun - Weather Permitting

When:
Saturday, 13 February, 2010 - 08:00

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Appin
Meeting Point:

North end of Burke St, Appin. There's a small parking area here at the trail head.

Note that the map shows Market Street connecting Appin Rd to this location but that is actually a firetrail and will not work for drivers who should take King St (next block South) and enter from there.

Show on Google maps: Meeting point. Login or register to get directions.

Given it's likely the Dam won't be up to much even if it is open, I'm going to head to Appin as it normally drains better. Planning on doing a few laps at a reasonable pace but will wait for anyone if needed (hopefully they'll wait for me too).

If you fancy joining let me know.

Team Jiggly Bits Arvo Ride LCNP (driest it will get until it starts raining again)

When:
Thursday, 11 February, 2010 - 18:15

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Lane Cove National Park
Meeting Point:

Pennant Hills Park

We are a team of 4 who have got together through Nobmob and created a Mont 24 Team.
I have met Nate, but am yet to meet the others and want to do a meet and greet and a bit of a training ride. All who want to join us are more than welcome if this time slot suits you. Lights will probably not be necessary, but a good idea.
Should be pretty casual, but not too much stopping. Not sure how fit the others in my team are really.

Manly Dam as of the 10th Feb

Anyone seen the Dam today? Keen for a ride, but don't want to push things if there is still a lot of run-off. There's been a couple of nice, sunny, warm days but I'm afraid it may still need a bit longer to dry out.
