Arrived today. Hinged & padded joint at stem allows small amount of steering. At 22 months, our children will need to grow into them.
Youngest First Bike Ride
Just got the kid on the First Bike over the last week. He is 2 years 2 months. He rides better than I do. Next week we are doin Manly Dam!

Poor planning comes good
For an event I wasn't looking forward to that much this one turned out to be a real goodie... as is so often the way.
The forecast was for cold weather and after last year's hypothermic experience this didn't bode well, the team had had more changes than a Kylie concert, less planning skills than the NSW state government, and I had to drive alone due to no suitable travel companions. Then driving through the M5 tunnel realised I'd forgotten my tarp, table and chair - oops!
Highland Fling Training Ride and Course Recon
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
4Km SW of Wingello village on Caoura Rd there's a small base camp within the forest - seems as good a place as any.
Pre Fling training ride and familiarising with the Fling track.
Come for one day or two - join us for some nice flowing single track...and get to know the Fling course. Meeting at 8:30 am at Ye Olde Bikeshoppe, Bundanoon. Sarina has the detailed course map; and I'll have the GPS track on the Garmin. 
(Update: we may have a local guide...)
Some of us are staying overnight (3 of us so far), however most of the riding is on Saturday - approx 4-5 hrs reconnaisance ride.
Car pool is an option - I may have 2 spaces on the car/rack.
