MTB helmet

Hey everybody,Boulder here

right now i have a shabby old helmet that is falling apart, the reason why is because its a three yr old helmet from BIGW.

i have looking for a good MTB helmet for a while now ( that is not a fullface helmet) and i am not sure which brand is the best for just doing weekly cross country stuff like manly dam. my price range is around $80-$100 so if any of you could please give me a bit of advice, that would great.

Thanks everyone

Anyone intending to order from Chainreactioncycles? I need a 29" RIM (pref Stans Flow or Arch)

As you may know, Chain Reaction has free shipping on orders over about A$600. Shipping on a rim is otherwise prohibitive ($50), so I'd like to add to someone's order in the near future.

Good sale on at the moment too!!!

Cheers

Group Ride & Etiquette

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Not ridden with us before? Wonder how it all works? We do have some NoBMoB etiquette (this is of course in addition to using your common sense and following more global MTB etiquette):

  1. We are a reliable lot so if you say you are coming to a ride we will believe you – if you can't make it then let the 'host' or someone else riding that ride know by phone or text so they don't wait around for you. This of course, will require the forethought of taking someone's phone number with you when you leave your computer.

Shipping

Hi Guys,

Happy new year to everyone!!!

Quick question. On my way to Canada in 3 weeks and looking to buy a new bike. Any suggestions on the cheapest way to ship it back to Oz?

Going to Whistler via Air Canada from SFO then back to Oz with Qantas. It would be great if I can avoid carrying the box with me with holidaying so wouldn't mind shipping it back home.

Thanks in advance for your help!

West Head for Blondie

Riding up Heath yesterday, Blondie was telling me how much she loves those hills.

I was saying how the only real hill in these parts is the climb up Elvina so what's say we do a Duck Hole/Centre loop on Saturday morning but go up the road to Elvina on the way? We could even throw in Waratah if Blondie is feeling good.

I don't want to go too early or make too large an epic out of this as I have to go to a wedding later that day.

Anyone keen (aside from the obvious?) Eye-wink

Lost: iMate SP5 phone - Great North Road

Hi Guys, I lost my iMate SP5 phone somewhere along the Great North Road track today.

It is a one in a millions shot I know, but I thought I would mention is anyway.

I lost it somewhere between the monk retreat (the water drum) and the start of the track ie. not the Wisemans Ferry end, the other end.

WTB- Shock Pump

Hi All,

I just bought my first dual suspension bike and it is awesome.

I now need a shock pump.

Does anyone have one lying around spare they might want a few dollars for?

Let me know.

Cheers
