Terrey Hills / Duffys Forest update for 10 Sep
Perimeter and Long are in good nick, with a nice traffic line in most areas. Amazing that there is still some water in a couple of those big puddles on Long, but they are easy to get around now. Heaps of people out today.

Wildflower Garden update for 10 Sep
Nursery section, Horse Trail and Muppets all are fine although getting a little loose and rutted in places. Linigen Pl trail is all good as well.

Serrata Status
Does anyone know if Serrata’s open? I know Gahnia is closed for maintenance until the end of the month but not sure about Serrata. A mate told me today it’s closed…. anyone know if / when it’s open?
Manly Dam update for 07 Sep
Just got a letter in mail advising of hazard burn off on Sunday 10th from approx 10am (unless conditions don't permit) between Nyrang and hydro lab.Recommend people ride Saturday if possible,else they will need to detour.

Cascades update for 07 Sep
Stone Pde side of cascades will undergo a hazard reduction burn this weekend.
I'd expect the RFS to close all of the trails from Ralson, cambourne, acron, Douglas to keep people out (safe) this weekend.
The Dam should be good to go, as too st Ives and Terrey hills.
Gahnia may still be closed too.
Perhaps take a trip out to Hornsby / westleigh to do OMV and H2O etc
It's probably snowing in Canberra....

E bikes
During a 45 minute ride at the dam yesterday I was passed by no less than 3 Ebikes!
Ebikes are now being heavily promoted by all the major bike companies so we can expect to see many more on the tracks. They are here to stay.
I was wondering what others think about this trend - good or bad for the sport? It certainly does not require the same fitness level or technical skill set that conventional riding does so I think it dumbs down the sport but it will certainly appeal to many.
Wollombi Wild Ride 2017
After having to cancel a long road trip to WA to do the Cape to Cape (going via Alice Springs, the Pilbara and the Coral Coast), I decided to revisit the Wollombi Wild Ride after a few year's absence. Signed up for the Long version (58km).
